Take a break and have a bite to eat
The food stand at the Festival Grounds serves delicious snacks. How about a croque monsieur and Den Gamle By’s own beer, or a café latte and a cake from Den Gamle By’s Bakery?
On certain days, we light the large charcoal grill, where you can buy a grilled boar sausage served with freshly baked bread from the Bakery and home-made ketchup and mustard. The wild boar sausage recipe was developed by Den Gamle By’s chefs, who were inspired by, for example, many of the historical herbs in the museum’s kitchen gardens.
Also, visit the Ice Cream Kiosk, and treat yourself to a Den Gamle By ice-cream cone – a cone with two scoops of ice cream, toppings, strawberry jam and a cream puff.
