In the kitchen, the maid is dying eggs with onion peels and herbs, and in the garden, the Easter Bunny has hidden eggs for the children. During Easter in Den Gamle By, you can explore Easter-decorated homes, embark on a historical Easter hunt, enjoy an Easter lunch with a touch of history – and much more.

Follow the Easter egg back in time

Go hunting for stamps through the neighbourhoods, decorating the four eggs in the welcome folder as you follow the Easter egg back in time.

Creative Workshop

Decorate Easter eggs, cut out traditional Danish snowdrop letters, and make Easter chicks from recycled materials in Bendtsen's Warehouse.

At the florist, spring has arrived, and the Embroidery Shop’s window is adorned with Easter-themed embroidery.

Storytelling About the Snowdrop

Listen to a story about the snowdrop on the first floor of Bendtsen's Warehouse.
A new story begins every hour from 11.15 to 16.15. Recommended for children aged 3-8.

 

Hidden Eggs in Havbogade

In the garden of the Havbogade house in the 1927 neighbourhood, you can find eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny. In the kitchen, the housewife is decorating Easter eggs and would like your help.
