Let the children follow the Easter egg back through time as they explore the different neighbourhoods, hunt for eggs in the garden in Havbogade, or join the creative Easter workshop.

Visit historical shops

In the 1864 neighbourhood, you will find the Aarhus Merchant’s House shop, where you can buy everything from candy to rum. Buy consumables from the Ironmonger in the 1927 neighbourhood, or drop by Pouls Radio in the 1974 neighbourhood.

See Easter-decorated homes

Flats and shops are decorated for Easter so that it matches their respective eras and the stories they tell.

Meet the town’s citizens

Have a chat with the town’s citizens about Easter traditions and their lives while they cook, chop firewood, do their crafts or serve customers in the historical shops.

Outdoor Easter egg hunt

In Havbogade, young children can participate in an Easter egg hunt in the garden, while the kitchen maid at the Aarhus Merchant’s House dyes eggs with onion peel.

Enjoy an Easter lunch

Restaurant Gæstgivergården serves traditional Easter dishes such as pickled eggs and nine-cabbage soup or you can enjoy a classic fish sandwich or filled patty shells.
